    At our Houses, there’s a lot to celebrate this spring. Art Basel returns to Hong Kong in full swing, congratulations are in order to the Chengdu team for Jing Bar being awarded The Best Hotel Bar from DRiNK Awards 2022, and to end the month on a green note, we are also honouring Earth Hour with special events this weekend.

    OUR TOKYO STORY STARTS NOW

    To complement the sakura cherry blossom season of rebirth and renewal, we are hosting a culinary and cultural experience in Tokyo to celebrate our new House due to open in 2027. To bring a taste of The House Collective to our friends in Japan, we will invite friends and guests to experience a cross-cultural dance performance, both in film and in-person, alongside tastes of our Michelin-starred cuisine and tea-inspired House cocktails.

    ART BASEL RETURNS

    Art Basel returns to Hong Kong in its full scale with exciting cultural offerings taking place across town. The Upper House hosted its signature fireside chat Up Close, featuring award-winning installation and media artist Chris Cheung who shared the inspiration behind his work, moderated by Princess Alia Al-Senussi.     During this period, other cultural events can also be found nearby, including Urban Rocks by Artistree, and Pacific Place Hosts Art Basel Hong Kong’s Offsite Encounters: Premiere of ‘Gravity’.     LIGHTS OUT FOR EARTH HOUR

    Small actions can make big changes. On March 25th, we’re joining the global community in turning off our lights for Earth Hour.

    Connect with the earth as you breathe in Himalayan scents across our Houses, with health-focused activations such as dark yoga and guided meditations to refresh the body and mind.

     

     

    For this hour of awareness, we’re collaborating with Boundless, an incense brand that shares our values in sustainability and wellness. Their Himalayan herbal incense includes dozens of natural Tibetan herbal medicines without any chemical additives, essential oils or animal products. This reflects ancient Tibetan medical history, where Tibetan incense can help with cleansing our space and our bodies, as well as helping with relaxation and calming our inner souls.

    The Opposite House

    This Saturday, the team in Beijing hold workshop on creating healthy drinks in Suite, followed by meditation with singing bowl.

    The Upper House

    On Saturday night, a complimentary guided meditation led by Shakti Healing Circle at 8:30pm.

    This Saturday, the team in Shanghai hosted swim in the dark at Mi Xun Spa to support the Earth Hour Initiative followed by a self-guided meditation session to find inner peace.

    The Temple House

    On Saturday night, the House will support Earth Hour by dimming the lights, embracing the glow of candle lights, and host “Yoga in the Dark” at The Temple Top, followed by Wine and Cheese Party at Jing Bar.

    We’re proud to announce Jing Bar’s recent win as The Best Hotel Bar in the DRiNK Awards 2022. The Temple House’s Jazz Age-inspired cocktail bar swept up the honour at China’s biggest bar industry awards on March 13 in Shanghai. It wouldn’t have been possible without you!
