It's a greener hotel experience at The Upper House where we've eliminated all single-use plastics from in-room consumables, installed filtration taps for unlimited drinking water and sourced natural bathroom amenities in recyclable aluminium tubes. We're a Founding Collective Member of Belu Hong Kong, a UK-based social enterprise, with our water filtration system at Salisterra and upcycle lightly used bathroom amenities with Soap Cycling. We celebrate sustainability too – every holiday season we commission a designer to create a one-of-a-kind, "green" Christmas tree.
Discover MoreThe Temple House is an avid advocate of the 3Rs concept – Reduce, Reuse, Recycle – in waste management. By saying no to plastics, all straws, hampers, room amenity wrappers and toothbrushes have been replaced with products made from biodegradable materials while water offered in-room is bottled in glass. We also find ways to reuse and recycle in our kitchens, for example, installing food waste processor ORCA. Our annual sustainable celebrations spotlighting recycled materials have become a tradition every Christmas.
